Risperdal (Risperidone) is an anti-psychotic medication manufactured by Janssen Pharmaceutical a division of Johnson & Johnson. is a prescription medication that has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treatment of bipolar I disorder or to treat acute to manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder. It is approved for use as therapy alone or in combination with drugs called mood stabilizers, such as lithium or valproate. Risperdal comes in several different deliver methods including: injections (25mg, 37.5mg, & 50mg), fast disintegrating "M-TAB" tablets (0.5mg, 1mg, & 2mg) standard oral tablets (00.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 2mg, 3mg, & 4mg), and an liquid oral solution (30-ml - 1mg/1mL).
